Web analysis

We use cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers created in conjunction with third-party providers such as Google to collect data regarding users’ interactions with advertising impressions and other advertising service functions that relate to our website.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics for web analysis. This is a service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Under the EU Commission’s standard data protection clauses, Google is contractually obliged to guarantee a level of data protection that essentially corresponds to that guaranteed in the EU by the GDPR.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. We also use pseudonymous attribution to understand your usage across devices. However, no personal information is shared with Google. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

If you do not want information about your website visit to be transmitted to Google Analytics, you have the option of installing an “opt-out add-on” for your browser.

In addition, we have made settings so that Google Analytics deletes the last part of the IP addresses of visitors to our website. This prevents us from obtaining data that would allow us to draw conclusions about your person.

You can opt out of data collection and storage by Google Analytics at any time by downloading and installing a browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics for your browser.

Google’s advertising requirements can be summarized by the Google Advertising Principles. These have been introduced to provide a positive experience for users. https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/1316548?hl=de

Facebook Website Custom Audience

This page integrates a pixel from Facebook Ireland Limited (Website Custom Audience Pixel). These pixels pseudonymize information about your use of this website (such as information about viewed articles). The information collected can be used to personalize you, e.g. to advertise on your Facebook account with preferred product groups and products.

Use of Facebook social plugins

This website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Facebook social plugin” or “Facebook social plugin”. An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which integrates it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can associate your visit to our website directly with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook may use this information for advertising, market research and customized Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected via our website with your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information:
https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent) and/or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f (legitimate interest) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Use of YouTube plugins
Our website integrates videos from the YouTube portal, a Google Inc. company (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). When you play a video, a connection to the YouTube or Google servers is established. These servers are informed which of our websites you have visited. If you are logged in to YouTube as a member, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google or YouTube as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

If you do not want Google or YouTube to assign the data collected via our website directly to your profile, you can even completely prevent the Google plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “No Script”(http://noscript.net/).

Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent) and/or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f (legitimate interest) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
