About the Education Lab
We want a future in which every child has the opportunity to develop their potential. This requires an education system that is fair, innovative and resilient.
The Education Lab was created to help shape precisely this future – together with everyone who wants to make a difference to education in Vienna. Initiated by the City of Vienna, implemented by Impact Hub Vienna.
Our task
To create a place where educators, educational initiatives, administration and politics, science and business come together – to make proven solutions visible, strengthen them and bring them to where they are needed: in Viennese kindergartens and schools. To this end, we curate programs, promote the development of a lively community and open up a space that enables exchange, inspiration and joint design.

The Education Lab is located on the ground floor of Maderstraße 1, in Vienna’s 4th district, just a few steps behind Karlsplatz. The rooms offer space for work, creativity and exchange. We place great importance on accessibility, sustainability and flexibility in the design.
Whether for workshops, co-working, events or spontaneous discussions over coffee – the Education Lab rooms invite you to shape education together!
